Just stuff!

I just had a couple of random pics to share!

We participated in our first 5K as a family!! Logan had been asking, so we signed up to do the Patriot's Day run this year.  I was very proud of the boys.  They both did a great job and managed to finish in a little over 38 minutes.  Even Bubba did it without too much whining, though he did tell me not to sign him up for anymore:-)

I also helped host a shower for some sweet friends a couple of weekends ago!  I wanted to share the onsie clothesline I put together!  In case it is not obvious, they are expecting a boy, so I did four onsies with different ties and one with suspenders.  In between each onsie I cut fabric strips, left the raw edges and tied them to the string.  I used basic twine.  I also saw a really cute item on Pinterest using a baby blanket and diapers.  The original one has a stork carrying the blanket, but I could not find anything like that, so I just used a large piece of fabric for the for the bow.  I made one of my tag blankets and folded it to insert the diapers.  Of course you could use any blanket as long as it is large enough.  The original Pin is here: www.cricut.com (actually done by Stephanie Conley, but I could not find her direct link). If you can't find it there, feel free to visit my boards.  This project is under "Sew." I was really happy with the way it came out:-) Lastly, also on the table is a super cute wipe set done by my bestie, Ginger Yaeger, at Monkeyface Designs.  You can find her page on Facebook.  Sorry I do not have any close ups of the goodies, but you can look at her work closer on her page!

And, last but not least the garden is finally getting there!!

This is the side garden.  I have another one in the back, but all of my plants have taken their time this year.  While they are all growing nicely, they are not producing much of anything at this point, so I am having to be very patient! We have managed to pick our first crop of green beans, enough for one meal, but at least it is something!
Happy Summer!

End Of School Roundup!!

It has been a long and busy spring, but I am happy to announce that we are finished with school for the summer!!!
Big milestones for all three of them!  Kalyn is officially a high school graduate and on her way to FAU in the fall!  She is pretty excited, and it was so exciting to see her walk the stage!  Luke is officially a pre-school graduate and on his way to kindergarten in the fall.  He is not happy about it, but I think he will like it once he gets there!  And, Logan is officially a 2nd grader!  He is excited to have the summer off to drive his little brother crazy. We have lots planned this summer including a trip to Texas to see Nana and Papa, a visit from sister, and camps, pools and BBQ's!
A huge thank you to Mrs. Hunter, Logan's 1st grade teacher!  She was amazing with him and really understood his personality.  We are also very grateful for Miss Karen and Miss Kathy who taught Luke this past year.  They, too, were amazing!  They figured out pretty quickly that Luke is just an old, grumpy man in a little body and worked to accomodate that.  For this, I am grateful!  Now moving on to summer!  I will need the force to really be with me:-)
