This past weekend the four of us participated in a very special 5K! A friend of ours has a rare form of cancer and has done a tremendous amount of work to bring attention and fundraise for this cause. This includes putting together the 2nd Annual Wannabe Cancer Free 5K! We were very happy to take part and run to help out even in the cold, wet weather! We did our best to stay warm, and I was even grateful for the 3 mile run as it warmed me up:-) Unfortunately, once I stopped, I remembered how cold it was! Once we finished the race and got a little hot cocoa, he jetted out of there not realizing that Logan placed 2nd in his age category...epic fail on the parental part!! But, we were still able to collect his prize, a $10 gift card to a great sports store, and he scored a cozy Panthers blanket for his bed. Here are some pics!!

Our 2nd Place Winner!! Logan's time was 31 minutes. Pretty awesome for an 8 year old. Luke's time was 43 minutes which means he shaved 5 minutes off the last 5K we did. He has informed us that under no circumstances are we to sign him up for anymore 5K's. We will see about that:-)
