We participated in our first 5K as a family!! Logan had been asking, so we signed up to do the Patriot's Day run this year. I was very proud of the boys. They both did a great job and managed to finish in a little over 38 minutes. Even Bubba did it without too much whining, though he did tell me not to sign him up for anymore:-)
I also helped host a shower for some sweet friends a couple of weekends ago! I wanted to share the onsie clothesline I put together! In case it is not obvious, they are expecting a boy, so I did four onsies with different ties and one with suspenders. In between each onsie I cut fabric strips, left the raw edges and tied them to the string. I used basic twine. I also saw a really cute item on Pinterest using a baby blanket and diapers. The original one has a stork carrying the blanket, but I could not find anything like that, so I just used a large piece of fabric for the for the bow. I made one of my tag blankets and folded it to insert the diapers. Of course you could use any blanket as long as it is large enough. The original Pin is here: www.cricut.com (actually done by Stephanie Conley, but I could not find her direct link). If you can't find it there, feel free to visit my boards. This project is under "Sew." I was really happy with the way it came out:-) Lastly, also on the table is a super cute wipe set done by my bestie, Ginger Yaeger, at Monkeyface Designs. You can find her page on Facebook. Sorry I do not have any close ups of the goodies, but you can look at her work closer on her page!
And, last but not least the garden is finally getting there!!
This is the side garden. I have another one in the back, but all of my plants have taken their time this year. While they are all growing nicely, they are not producing much of anything at this point, so I am having to be very patient! We have managed to pick our first crop of green beans, enough for one meal, but at least it is something!
Happy Summer!
